Pooja Gautami Umashankar was born on 25 June 1981 in Sri Lanka. She is a Sri Lankan actress in Kollywood. She has a Masters Degree in Business & Management. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. Her debut film was in Tamil with Madhavan called Jay Jay.
