Martin Hingis got hitched. The former world No. 1, now retired from competitive tournament tennis, got married to French equestrian showjumper Thibault Hutin. Saddle up and ride!
Martina Hingis says that when she watches the success of Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters in their comebacks, she can't help but thing about coming back herself. But she won't - at least not to the WTA Tour. Instead, Hingis will play World Team Tennis in 2010.
That's the title of this YouTube photo slideshow, whose creater makes his own choices:
The tennis players featured appear in this order: Martina Hingis, Maria Kirilenko, Nicole Vaidisova, Daniela Hantuchova, Ana Ivanovic, Anna Kournikova, Maria Sharapova.
Martin retired early once before because of injuries. Then she came back with moderate success ... only to retire again due to more injuries and pernicious rumors. Were the rumors (of positive drug tests) true? Who knows. I know that Martina Hingis is a hottie, however.
